Eddie Vanderford is the owner of Vanderford Real Estate and Auction and one of the most experienced professionals in the timber and rural land business in eastern North Carolina. Eddie began his career with Weyerhaeuser in 1976, where he gained valuable experience in timber management before leaving to start his own company.
Over the past five decades, Eddie has built Vanderford Real Estate into a highly respected business serving landowners across eastern North Carolina. Throughout his career he has helped countless private landowners manage their timber, buy and sell rural property, and make sound decisions about their land.
With more than 50 years of experience in the timber and land industry, Eddie brings an exceptional depth of knowledge and practical insight to every project. His long-standing relationships and extensive client network throughout eastern North Carolina have made him a trusted resource for landowners across the region.
Tyler Whisner is the founder of Tar River Forestry Consulting and a North Carolina Registered Forester and licensed Real Estate Broker. After graduating from forestry school, Tyler began his career with a forestry consulting firm where he gained extensive experience working on timber investment properties and with Roseburg Forest Products’ direct log program.
During this time, Tyler discovered a passion for working directly with private landowners and helping them manage their timberland and protect the long-term value of their property.
In 2021, Tyler met Eddie Vanderford of Vanderford Real Estate and Auction and soon after went to work with him assisting clients with rural property and timberland transactions. Tyler obtained his North Carolina Real Estate Broker license in 2019 and has since helped clients buy and sell farms, timberland, and other rural properties.
In January of 2024, Tyler founded Tar River Forestry Consulting and formed a partnership with Vanderford Real Estate to provide forestry consulting and rural land services to landowners across eastern North Carolina.
